Our 2026 Community Donations (so far!)
We started 2026 off with a bang, making two big donations to important local organizations.
In January 2026, our members were happy to present Cambridge Memorial Hospital Foundation with a donation of $10,000 to support the purchase of 14 stretchers, an ECG machine, an ice dispense for the labour & delivery floor, and ongoing staff education. Rotary Cambridge Sunrise has been a long time supporter of CMH, and our first donation was $5k in 1996 towards Oncology. To date, with this gift included, that’s a cumulative total of $106,900 over the past 30 years. We extend our gratitude and appreciation to the staff and volunteers at Cambridge Memorial Hospital and the Cambridge Memorial Hospital Foundation.
In February 2026, Rotary Cambridge Sunrise had the absolute joy of surprising our friends at Tiny Home Takeout with a cheque for $10,000 - and their reaction was priceless! Tiny Home Takeout has been serving our community with heart, dignity, and delicious food, ensuring everyone has access to a warm meal no matter their circumstances. We’re so proud to support the incredible impact they make every single day.
Rotary’s motto is “Service Above Self”, and today was one of those moments that reminds us exactly why we do what we do.
