Annual Ernie’s Roadhouse Charity Golf Tournament raises over $7,500 for local community agencies.

The Rotary Club of Cambridge Sunrise, together with Ernie’s Roadhouse, hosted the 38th Annual Ernie’s Charity Golf Tournament on Thursday, June 9th, 2016. This was the eighth year for our Rotary club as the charity of choice. The weather was sunny for the 52 golfers who took part in this year’s tournament.

The dinner was held at Ernie’s Roadhouse and as always enjoyed by all the participants. The silent auction included some spirited bidding and the ever popular “Bucket of Booze” Raffle was a big hit.

The winning tickets for the two (2) prizes in the “Bucket of Booze” Raffle were tickets #147 and #025 respectively.
We were successful in raising over $7,500 to help further the good works of Rotary. Some of our projects this year will be to support the following:
1.     Cambridge Memorial Hospital Foundation
2.     Cambridge Shelter Corporation
3.     GROW Community Centre
4.     Kids Can Play
5.    Child Witness Centre

Thanks to our hole sponsors and all those who donated silent auction items.  To our golfers, volunteers, golf committee, and staff at the Puslinch Lake Golf Club, thank you for going above and beyond to make the 38th Annual Ernie’s Charity Golf Tournament such a great success.

Special thanks to Rob Cox and the staff at Ernie’s Roadhouse who did a wonderful job organizing and running the tournament and provided a delicious meal to all participants.
