How is our response to CoVID 19 going in Waterloo Region? Dr. Morgan is a family physician in Cambridge who does the full breadth of care including obstetrics, inpatient care, surgical assisting and family practice. Since the beginning of the pandemic, she has been working in the CoVID assessment center and helping to manage the regional response to the pandemic as one of the lead physicians. Roadside Cleanup - Hands-on Service Project You must be pre-registered with the Club Secretary to participate in this event, as we are adhering to provincial guidelines of 10-person gatherings. In addition to a reflective vest, please bring and wear all necessary PPE. We will meet at the Franklin x Sagniaw Tim Horton's to distribute supplies. Waivers must be signed and submitted. July 25 is the rain date. |

As a community focused Member of Parliament, Bryan May has worked to improve services, build housing, and create opportunities for youth and seniors in our community.
Deeply entrenched in community activism, Bryan has a long track record of facilitating positive change for those who need it most, making him a strong political representative.He’s a community builder with a leadership style that inspires those around him to help others, get involved, and make a difference. Bryan holds a degree from the University of Waterloo, and worked as a non-profit manager before entering politics. He has 13 years of senior management experience working with major organizations like the YMCA, the University of Waterloo, and the Boys and Girls Club. Bryan has volunteered through committees like the Oxford Active Living/Youth Action Plan, the Y Service Club, and as Executive Treasurer of the Social Planning Council of Cambridge and North Dumfries. He has also been an avid youth baseball coach. He lives in Cambridge with his wife Kristin and their two children. |

Greg Durocher – In his 20th year as President and During his time on Cambridge City Council, Greg chaired numerous committees, and for of his 8 years on Council chaired the City’s Budget Task Force Committee. Greg led Cambridge to 9 consecutive budgets of zero increase in taxes, his first official motion on Council was a 1% decrease in municipal property tax for the 1992 budget year. As a member of City Council, Greg brought forward new concepts in private/public partnerships like the Ice Park, YMCA/City Pool Partnership and developed the Core Area Patrol Program in partnership with the Business Improvement Areas. In 2014 Greg was named Chamber Executive of the Year for Canada by the Canadian Chamber of Commerce Executives Association. Greg was also a contributor to a Global Chamber paper called “Chamber 2025” a look to the future on what’s in store for business and Chambers in the next 10 years. Greg is married to Lisa, they have 4 children. Greg and Lisa have a common hobby, working for the betterment of the Cambridge business community, a function they both enjoy very much, and they love spending time with family at their Cottage on Conestogo Lake. Greg’s only vice is his love for Golf, any chance he can get, which is not often enough from his perspective, but if he is not in the office, home, at a Chamber event, or at the cottage, you will find him on a golf course.

The Centre for Family Medicine Family Health Team, Kitchener, Ontario Dr Upender (Upe) Mehan is a graduate of the University of Western Ontario and completed his family medicine residency at Queen’s University. He is an Assistant Clinical Professor with McMaster University and Adjunct Clinical Professor at Western University, in their departments of family medicine. He works at the Centre for Family Medicine in Kitchener Ontario where he runs a team-based Type 2 team Diabetes consultation clinic and is involved in his passion for clinical teaching of students and residents. He has received several awards including the Preceptor of the Year and Excellence in Teaching for the McMaster family medicine residency program, McMaster’s DeGroote School of Medicine Excellence in Mentorship Award, and the Award of Excellence from the Ontario College of Family Physicians. He has been involved in the development and delivery of various Continuing Medical Education programs for both the Ontario College of Family Physicians and private industry. He also appeared on the weekly CTV show Dr. Marla and friends from July 2012 to June 2013 with a medical myth-busting segment. As well, he has been involved with volunteer work both locally and internationally, including working for The Bridges in Cambridge, doing mental health outreach work in Guyana and working with a Palliative care team working with underprivileged people in New Delhi, India.
